Short answer
A seal tag on Myntra, also called a tag loop, is a plastic tamper-evident loop with a unique serial number and barcode, fixed to some products before they ship. It helps show the item has not been used or swapped. If it is cut or removed, Myntra can refuse your return.
What a Myntra seal tag looks like
It is a thin plastic strip that loops through the product or its tag and locks into itself. It carries a printed serial number and a barcode that can be scanned. Some have a message such as “No return if seal is broken”. Many shoppers notice it as a yellow plastic tag, though the look can vary.
If you bought from Myntra: seal tag and returns
- Keep it on until you are sure. Try the product with the tag still attached. According to Unicommerce’s guide to tag loops, a return is allowed only if the tag is intact.
- It can’t be closed again. Once cut, it stays broken. Don’t try to open it without cutting, as that can damage the tag and affect your return.
- If you are keeping the product, cut the loop carefully with scissors, away from the fabric.
- If it arrived missing or already broken, contact Myntra soon after delivery. Myntra Support has described a “Seal Tag Missing” reason in the return request.
- Check the return period on the product page. It can differ by product.
If you sell on Myntra: how tag loops work
Myntra uses tag loops to reduce returns of used or counterfeit products. According to Unicommerce’s 2023 guide, the seller attaches the tag at the packing dock before the invoice is made, and the tag’s seal ID is recorded on that order. It says about 33 categories or styles were covered, including accessories, footwear and expensive apparel.
These rules can change, so confirm which of your styles need a tag, and where to get tags, with your Myntra account team or Myntra Seller University.
Working tag loop vs non-working seal tag

MarkRTD’s tags are for display, staff training, demos and product tagging. Don’t use them in place of a tag loop that Myntra asks for, or to replace a broken seal on a return.
Frequently asked questions
What is a seal tag in Myntra?
A seal tag on Myntra, also called a tag loop, is a plastic tamper-evident loop with a unique serial number and barcode, fixed to some products before they ship. It helps show the item has not been used or swapped. If it is cut or removed, Myntra can refuse your return.
Is a seal tag the same as a tag loop?
Yes. Sellers and order software usually call it a tag loop or seal, while the printed message on the tag and the Myntra app call it a seal or seal tag.
Can I return a Myntra product if the seal tag is broken?
Usually not. Tag loop rules allow a return only when the tag is intact. Check the return conditions on your product page, and contact Myntra support if you think your case is an exception.
My order arrived without a seal tag. What should I do?
Raise it with Myntra soon after delivery, and keep the product and packing as they arrived. In a March 2025 post, Myntra Support described a "Seal Tag Missing" reason in the return request. The steps in the app may have changed since.
Can a seal tag be opened and closed again?
No. It is made to break once and not be reused, which is how it shows that a product was opened. Keep it on until you are sure you are keeping the product.
Do all Myntra products have a seal tag?
No. A 2023 Unicommerce guide says it applied to about 33 categories or styles, including accessories, footwear and expensive apparel. Myntra decides the current list.
Where can Myntra sellers get working seal tags?
Ask your Myntra account team or check Myntra Seller University. A working tag has to match Myntra’s process and have its seal ID recorded on the order.
Are MarkRTD seal tags official Myntra tag loops?
No. MarkRTD sells non-working seal tags for display, training and product tagging. They are not issued by Myntra and do not replace a tag loop that Myntra asks you to use on an order. MarkRTD is an independent supplier and is not connected to Myntra.
